John Stanhope, DO
Dr. Stanhope was born and raised in Portland, Maine and graduated from Deering High School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Southern Maine. He completed his graduate studies at the University of Health Sciences - College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri.
Dr. Stanhope served in the Air Forces as a flight surgeon and was appointed Chief of Aeromedical Services.
Dr. Stanhope was director of York Hospital's Emergency Department for 5 years.
Dr. Stanhope has been in private family practice for 20 plus years before joining Maine Centers for Healthcare. He has a special interest in OMT (Osteopathic Manipulation Therapy).
Dr. Stanhope enjoys fishing, golf and spending time with his family.
