PHYSICIANS
John Brewer, D.O.
Dr. Brewer was born in Michigan, traveled extensively throughout the U.S. with his Coast Guard family, finally settling in Portland after receiving his D.O. degree from the Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1985. He completed his residency in Family Practice at the Osteopathic Hospital of Maine and was in private practice in Gorham since 1987.
Dr. Brewer is Board Certified in Family Practice, has been a Clinical Faculty member at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine since 1986, served as President of the Maine Osteopathic Association, and is on staff at Maine Medical Center and Mercy Hospital.
Dr. Brewer's interests are in fishing, boating and sailing, maritime history, and "fixing all things mechanical".
He resides in Portland with his wife, Susan and son, Billy, and loves visits with his two daughters and four grandsons "anytime".
