Ira Stockwell , D.O.
Dr. Stockwell was born in Portland, Maine in 1937. He graduated from Deering High School, The University of Maine Orono and Kirksville College of Osteopathy and Surgery. After interning at the Osteopathic Hospital of Maine in 1970-1971, he became a comprehensive family practitioner in Westbrook where he has remained for the past 33 years.
Dr. Stockwell is on staff at Mercy Hospital, Maine Medical Center, Brighton Medical and Westbrook Hospital. He is on the board at Mercy Hospital and the Maine Osteopathic Association.
He is a professor and preceptor at the University of New England's College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr Stockwell's wife, Cleta has worked with him in his practice for 33 years and his daughter has worked as his medical secretary for the past 6 years. Ira and Cleta also have 3 sons and 4 grandchildren. Two of his sons are also family practitioners as well as one of their daughter-in-laws. Their eldest son is an arborist.
Dr.Stockwell's hobbies are fly-fishing, golf and playing the piano.
